Bled is one of the most beautiful and most visited tourist places in Slovenia. It is about 50 km northwest of the capital town Ljubljana. South of Bled are extending forested Jelovica and Pokljuka plateaus. The place has a rich historical past. The first visitors of Bled were pilgrims who went to the Mary Pilgrimage on the Bled Island.
