Goriska brda


Goriska brda is a landscape, which is located in the western part of Slovenia. It is the most famous by wine and fruit growing, but it is also hiding many cultural attractions.
The region was already settled in Roman times. Typical medieval culture is seen in the dense Mediterranean villages with stone houses on the ridges of hills. In Goriska brda are the main attractions the lookout tower Gonjace, Smartno, Kojsko, Medana, Castle Dobrovo, Krcnik, Vipolze and much more.
In Goriska brda we have to visit the largest Slovenian wine cellar, which is situated in the village Dobrovo. The Wine Cellar Goriska Brda offer tours and tastings of delicious wines from Brda.
Through Goriska brda is going the cycling and interesting wine rout. They organize many social events, such as the cherry hike. Goriska brda is a beautiful country, which I love to visit it very much. If offers a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Terme Snovik


Terme Snovik is a thermal spa, which is located in the heart of Tuhinjska valley in the idyllic village Snovik. The beginnings of Terme Snovik dates back to 1953, when first studies of exploitation of thermal water were made. Terme Snovik can be visited all year round, because they have indoor and outdoor pools. The wellness center also has saunas, massages and pedicure. The complex has a restaurant, which offers delicious food. For business meetings they offer modern equipped seminar rooms. Above the thermal baths is located apartment complex with rooms and apartments. Besides enjoying in Terme Snovik the wonderful valley offers many other activities like hiking, biking, tennis, horseback riding, nordic walking and other.

Idrija


Idrija is the oldest mining town in Slovenia. It lies in the basin in the middle of Idrija Hills. Idrija is the municipal centre and unites the important cultural, administrative, educational, tourist and other public functions. The early beginnings are connected with the discovery of mercury, but growth, development and extent of the city were connected with the growth of the underground mine. In Idrija we can visit many cultural, natural, architectural and engineering attractions. The most important are Castle Gewerkenegg with museum, Kamst, Klavze, the walking path by Rake, Antony's shaft, Miner's House, the oldest town Church of the Holy Trinity, Lance School Idrija, Regional park Zgornja Idrija with the lake called Divje jezero. The lake belongs among the famous natural attractions of the Slovenian heritage. Idrija is also famous for delicious food, called idrijski zlikrofi.

Črno jezero


Črno jezero is a wonderful and interesting lake in Pohorje area. It was artificially made. The black colour gives the lake dark and thick layer of silt. The lake is protected as the forest reserve. The easiest way to come to the lake is if we start by Dom na Osankarici. By the lake are tables and benches, so we can sit and enjoy in the nature. Crno jezero is an interesting point for a trip in every time of the year.

Soriska planina


Soriska planina is a smaller wintersport resort. It has three ski lifts and a new chair lift Lajnar. Ski slopes are appropriate for beginners, advanced skiers, school groups, families, competitive and recreational skiing. In the resort they also have a restaurant with accommodation, ski school and snowboard school and many other.

The Pericnik Waterfall


The Pericnik Waterfall is located in Vrata Valley. It is one of the most well known and beautiful waterfalls in Slovenia. It consists of the Upper and Lower waterfall. The Upper waterfall is high about 16 meters and the Lower waterfall is high about 52 meters. The Pericnik Waterfall was created as a result of glacial activity in the Vrata Valley. Near the waterfall is a mountain hut called Koca pri Pericniku. The maximum water flow is in autumn and in spring time.
