Piran

Piran is a beautiful old city town in Slovenian coast. It is situated in the cape of Piran peninsula. The city has a rich cultural heritage. Special charm gives it compact houses and narrow streets. Piran is one of the major Slovenia's tourist attractions. It is also the administrative centre of the local area. Piran is the birthplace of violinist and composer Giuseppe Tartini. The main square, Tartini Square, is named after him. Piran is wonderful in every time of the year. Especially I like great views to the city from the St. George Cathedral. The cathedral gives the city its special character.
